The buyer of fire safety is usually the person who has to sign for it: the responsible person under the Fire Safety Order, the accountable person under the Building Safety Act, or the main contractor who has to hand over a building with its Regulation 38 information complete. What that person needs is one contractor that can take a fire strategy and deliver every system in it against a single cause-and-effect model.
Gemini AMPM does that. It designs, installs, commissions and maintains fire detection and alarm to BS 5839-1, voice alarm and disabled-refuge systems, evacuation alert systems to BS 8629, fixed gaseous suppression to BS EN 15004-1, and passive fire protection: fire doors, fire stopping and compartmentation. Security and access control sit in the same company, so the systems that have to release, lock or report on a fire signal are commissioned by the same engineers.
The record travels with the work: assets logged in Uptick from the first survey, findings recorded on site, and a commissioning pack, cause-and-effect and certificates a fire risk assessor or Building Control can use.
